I’m a high school Latin teacher who loves langauges, teaching, and travel. Classical studies captured my interest when I was an undergrad student. I loved that I had the opportunity to explore so many different aspects of the ancient world, from languages to art and from literature to history, I was hooked. Then I decided to get a Master’s degree in Latin and, for the last 14 and a half years, I’ve really loved teaching all levels of Latin. I particularly enjoy finding creative ways to incorporate technology in my teaching. From January to June, 2016, I’ll be studying in the Netherlands as part of the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program. I’m both intrigued and inspired by the high rates of bilingualism and multilingualism in the Netherlands, so, I’ll spend my time there studying the instructional techniques that Dutch teachers use in their foreign language classes.
